Angie has spent 23 years working in the legal world—first as a paralegal and law clerk, and for the past 19 years as a lawyer. For 12 of those years, she also served in executive HR leadership. That combination has shaped how she sees business: legal issues, people decisions and larger business goals are almost always connected, whether we acknowledge it or not.
She isn't interested in giving advice from the sidelines or creating red tape for the sake of it. She enjoys getting into the business with her clients—understanding what they're trying to accomplish, identifying what could get in the way and finding a practical path forward. Sometimes that means getting a deal across the finish line quickly. Sometimes it means helping a leader navigate a difficult people issue, strengthening corporate governance or building the right foundation for growth. Her job isn't simply to point out risk—it's to help clients make smart, informed decisions and keep moving.
Angie founded alkamie in 2019 because she wanted to work differently: more closely, more practically and with a genuine investment in the businesses and people she supports. Today, alkamie is entering an exciting new chapter with Amanda Qualls as Angie's business partner. They dreamed about working together for years, and entering this next phase together feels both natural and incredibly meaningful.
Angie also recently founded What She Said, a separate passion project built around honest conversations, connection and all the things women experience but don't always say out loud. It reflects something she values everywhere in her life: creating room for people to be candid, curious and fully human.
Originally from the Midwest, Angie has called Denver home since 2001. She's also the proud mom of a 17-year-old son, who keeps her laughing, humble and learning—and regularly reminds her that even 23 years of negotiation experience will only get you so far.

Amanda holds a Master's degree in Strategic Human Resources from the University of Denver and a Bachelor's degree in Education.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her dog, Honey, and with family and friends. Honey can often be found keeping a close eye on things behind the scenes at alkamie and has earned the title of the firm's unofficial mascot.
at the heart of alkamie
One of the greatest joys of this next chapter is that we get to do work we genuinely love—together.
Helping organizations navigate complex decisions is meaningful to us, but so is the way we do it. We believe partnership matters. We believe relationships matter. And we believe our clients deserve advisors who are invested not only in the outcome, but in the people behind it.
